Last Call, a Closing Reception, Scheduled for January 20
On Saturday, January 20, we're hosting "Last Call," in celebration of our recent look at the histories and legacies of alcohol in our community: Wet & Dry: Alcohol in Clay County, 1871-1937. From 1:00PM to 5:00PM, we're offering talks, tours, and drinks from the cash bar (both local beers and Temperance drinks).
HCSCC Programming Director Markus Krueger will offer an hour-long history of Wild West Clay County at 1:00PM, HCSCC Senior Archivist Mark Peihl will follow that with a history of Saloon-Era Moorhead at 2:00PM, and Markus will again take the stage at 3:00PM for a discussion of our community during Prohibition. The two will join HCSCC Collections Manager Lisa Vedaa for an exhibition tour at 4:00PM.
HCSCC Members receive free admission and guests receive Buy One, Get One Free admission (so tell your friends!). Let us know you're coming on Facebook, or check our website for more details.
