Featuring Dr. Jo Zeleznik
Parlor Talks, our series of evening programming combining local history, food, and brew, continues with Dr. Joe Zeleznik sharing his research into local trees and log cabins. A dendrochronologist, or a biologist who studies tree rings, Zeleznik will be sharing the results of a study funded by the Minnesota Historical Society in which he explored and inventoried the lumber of our region.
The presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. In addition to the talk, we'll be serving some delicious snacks from Rex Cafe and beer from member-sponsor Drekker Brewing Company, as well as offering museum tours afterward.
Later Parlor Talks include presentations from Swedish culinary archaeologist Daniel Serra (Wednesday, July 5), and HCSCC Senior Archivist Mark Peihl (Tuesday, August 8).
