Thursday, October 23 | 3 to 5 p.m.
Hjemkomst Center, 202 First Avenue North, Moorhead
This event is free, but registration is required.
A “cracker barrel” is a traditional expression used to describe a habitual discussion
among a common group or community.
The Chamber’s Candidate Cracker Barrel initiates or inspires routine conversations between our policy makers and business leaders. We’ve designed the event to provide you an opportunity to meet candidates and share the issues you are most interested in. The format is informal, unintimidating and very fast-paced. The engaging format allows connections to be made without note cards or scripts so the relationship will last after the election occurs.
The event will kick off with brief welcome remarks before candidates begin meeting with small groups for 5 to 7 minutes. Candidates will continue circulating among the groups. Once the meetings conclude at 4:30 p.m., a social will be held to allow candidates additional time to speak with voters.
Join a table or invite your colleagues and form your own. North Dakota and Minnesota legislative candidates will attend, as well as Cass and Clay County Commission candidates.
