Today's the start of our new fiscal year at the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo Moorhead and we are kicking off in style!
It’s been a great summer of planning for your staff and volunteers of the Chamber. As we undertake the search for our next dynamic leader, we have taken an opportunity to look closely at the value Chamber membership brings to our business community.
Our Youth Leadership students have returned from a whirlwind service tour of North Dakota. Our committees and Board members have set goals and made plans for the year ahead. We welcome a new Board Chair, Karen Lauer, Barnesville Economic Development Authority, as she assumes her post. And, of course, we embark on a new year of Chamber networking and training events.
If you’ve ever hoped for an intimate setting in which to introduce your business to fellow members, wondered how to get more out of your membership, or just wanted to meet some of the friendly faces of Chamber staff, don’t miss Maximize Your Membership on September 10. We’ll gather at 8 a.m. at the Hjemkomst Center for great conversation
and breakfast treats. No charge; but please register. Call Kristie at 218.359.0527 for more information.
Our 2009-10 Chamber training calendar delivers a powerful punch. Steve Scheel of Scheels Corporate Office has sold out our September 2 Chamber Café, giving us an inside look into Scheels All Sports legendary customer service program. On September 24, Tamara Anderson, Dale Carnegie Training Eide Bailly LLP, will present our Breakfast Buzz, “Influential
Leadership: How to Have 360 Degrees of Influence.”
And if you can’t leave your desk but need to maintain your learning curve, participate in a Chamber Webinar! September 15 brings us “How to Conduct Productive, Painless Performance Reviews,” followed by “Seven
Revolutions - Scanning the World Out to 2025” on September 17. Finally, learn how to amp up your energy and resource efficiency in “Green Recovery: How Green Initiatives Will Keep Your Company on Top” on September 22.
Lots to remember? There’s more! Find a running list of upcoming events at www.fmchamber.com. While you’re there, sign up for the RSS feed for direct access to the Chamber calendar. This is going to be a great year!
