Dear Chamber Members:
When David Martin announced this summer he would be leaving our Chamber to explore new opportunities, our staff and volunteer leaders, along with our entire community, experienced a period of melancholy. Martin possesses an unmatched energy and enthusiasm for our great region; one that he infused into every day that he served our Chamber and its members.
When you joined the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo Moorhead, you made an investment in your business and your community. Each year at renewal time, you consider the return on that investment. It is our job, as your Board of Directors and staff, to protect your investment; a charge we take very seriously.
Please watch future issues of The Bridge, as well as The eBridge and our Web site, where we will communicate with you our milestones reached as we work through this transition in Chamber leadership. Chamber Operations Manager Jim Parsons has graciously stepped up to lead our Chamber and is a resource to you. You can reach him at email@example.com.
Amid an outpouring of expressed sympathy and kudos to Martin for a job well done, we turn our attention to the start of a new fiscal year and the job that falls on each of us to continue the level of service and value our members have come to expect under Martin’s leadership. We can capture the feeling each of us has in two words:
Your Chamber IS its members. The untapped possibilities of where we could take our Chamber and business community are exciting and frankly, a bit breathtaking when we start brainstorming ideas.
Our first order of business is to show you how much we appreciate the part you’ve played in our Chamber and community over the past year. Please join us for Member Appreciation Night, Tuesday, September 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Trollwood Performing Arts School in Moorhead. Stop by to share your success stories and your hopes for the future as we embark on a new program year.
As Martin used to say, “We can blow the doors off this place.”
