Moorhead, Minn. (Dec. 18, 2014) –The Chamber is launching a new public affairs program in 2015 called Eggs & Issues as further support of its advocacy efforts. The inaugural session of Eggs & Issues on Jan. 5 will feature North Dakota Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley.
Wrigley will share his thoughts on the most pressing issues and challenges facing the state when he speaks at Eggs & Issues just one day before the 2015 Legislature convenes. He will review the Governor’s budget recommendations and roadmap for the next biennium.
“We hope Eggs & Issues will offer people the chance to learn more about issues facing our community, region and state so, together, we can help power our community forward,” said Chamber President and CEO Craig Whitney.
Eggs & Issues will serve as a foundation for connecting members directly with the most interesting topics, influential public figures and industry leaders poised to make decisions about local, state and federal issues Chamber members and the general public care about.
The monthly forum will offer engaged community members an opportunity to stay in-the-know about important current events and legislation.
Eggs & Issues will offer insight on a variety of topics from diverse experts. Some potential issues include:
-City planning and strategic growth
-Convention center challenges and opportunities
The inaugural Egg & Issues will take place Monday, January 5 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel, 201 5th Street North in Fargo.
