Women Connect set to launch in January

Fargo, N.D. (Dec. 9, 2014) – The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber is launching a new program aimed at developing and connect female leaders in the community.

Women Connect focuses on connecting women in a unique forum to foster long-term relationships and encourage leadership in business and in life. Women Connect will address distinct challenges professional women face in today’s business environment and provide connections, inspiration and an opportunity to socialize with and encourage one another, tapping into the sense of community women crave.

The inaugural session on Jan. 27 will feature author, business consultant and inspiring speaker Lynette Lewis. She will share concepts from her popular book “Climbing the Ladder in Stilettos,” which is full of tools and strategies for achieving personal and professional dreams, navigating tough people and situations, finding the right mentors and enduring through seasons of being unrecognized, unrewarded and underpaid.

“Attendees will leave the session feeling inspired and motivated,” said Chamber President and CEO Craig Whitney. “We are confident that attendees will be empowered as well as equipped with tools to be more successful in both the professional and personal realm.”

The inaugural Women Connect session is scheduled for Jan. 27 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn. Cost to attend is $35 for Chamber members and $45 for general admission. Registered attendees will receive a copy of “Climbing the Ladder in Stilettos.”
