Moorhead, Minn. (August 31, 2015) – Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani will bring his expertise and insights to the metro when he headlines The Chamber’s sixth annual Voices of Vision on Wednesday, November 11. His presentation, titled “Principled Leadership: In the Face of Change and Crisis” will focus on lessons learned as he revitalized New York City and pulled through the crisis of 9/11. He will share how effective leadership can result in profitability and how to use these principles in your own life to inspire excellence from the team around you.
“We are extremely excited about bringing a national leader such as Rudy Giuliani to our community to share his accomplishments and insights from leading our largest city in the United States during one of the nation’s largest crises,” said Chamber President and CEO Craig Whitney.
While Giuliani is most known for his service as mayor of New York City, he previously served in the United States Attorney’s office, then as Associate Attorney General, and in 1993, was elected mayor. In these years, he focused on reducing crime, reforming welfare and improving the quality of life.
On September 11 when the Twin Towers fell, Giuliani immediately lead the recovery of the city and was even celebrated as “Mayor of the World.” He was named “Person of the Year” by TIME magazine, knighted by the Queen of England, dubbed “Rudy the Rock” by French President Jacques Chirac, and former first lady Nancy Reagan presented him with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award.
As an influential and accomplished leader, Giuliani now shares his unparalleled insights on leadership, courage and the most pressing issues of our time through his work with Giuliani Partners, a strategic consulting and emergency preparedness firm and through many speaking engagements.
Voices of Vision is an annual event designed to bring nationally recognized thought leaders to the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo area. This year’s event will be held at the Ramada Plaza & Suites and Conference Center from noon to 1:30 p.m. on November 11.
