Fargo Moorhead, ND/MN (November 14, 2012) – The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber held their third annual Voices of Vision luncheon on November 14. Keynote speaker was Joe Theismann, the most successful quarterback in the history of the Washington Redskins and a world-class entrepreneur.
Theismann spoke on the connection between the world of sports and the corporate world to a crowd of almost 600. He encouraged attendees to never stop learning. “Don’t waste the opportunity to gain education,” Theismann said. “That’s why The Chamber exists, to provide a vision. To provide forums like this to share with one another and learn together.”
Further, Theismann focused on the importance of teamwork and attitude and how these work together to drive goals. “You cannot, will not, nor ever hope to be successful in life if you think you’re doing it by yourself,” he said.
The event, held from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza & Suites and Conference Center, was the third in The Chamber’s Voices of Vision series, designed to bring world-thought leaders and cutting edge business visionaries to the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo community.
“Theismann’s ability to share first-hand knowledge of handling trying circumstances and dealing with unforeseen change really rang true with the businesses present today,” said Chamber President/CEO Craig Whitney.
The inaugural Voices of Vision event was held in November 2010 and featured Lt. Col. Oliver North. The 2012 event featured renowned journalist Bob Woodward.
