Onsharp President Joe Sandin chalks up being the Small Business of the Year to two things: the quality of his team and the quality of work they do for clients.
“Onsharp lives a culture focused around community involvement,” he says. “We not only take time as a team to volunteer in our local community, but we also provide one full day each year for each employee to volunteer for a cause of their choice. We then ask our employees to share those experiences with the rest of our team so we can collectively share in the outcome and encourage new, unique ideas for community involvement.”
Onsharp is a Web strategy, design and development company that builds websites and online solutions for a variety of clients, and as such, the Onsharp team is passionate about technology.
“My passion and what makes me jump out of bed every morning has always been to achieve success for our clients, employees and our local community,” says Sandin, winner of The Chamber’s Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2011. “I thrive on helping people solve problems, creating a great culture and exciting opportunities for our employees and giving back to our community. By doing all three of these things well, I feel we can truly be a great organization today and for many years into the future.”
So what sets Onsharp apart in the world of Web development and online marketing? “Technology changes so quickly that the latest and greatest tool today may not be the latest and greatest in a year from now,” says Sandin. “Therefore, it’s our job to be the experts for our clients to ensure they make smart technology choices. We then bring the talent to the table to turn that solution into reality.
“We work hard, we treat people well, and we produce products and services that provide measurable value to our clients. With that combination, success naturally follows.”
