The Chamber Now Largest Regional Chamber in Two States
The successful completion of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber’s first official membership campaign has pushed the business organization comfortably over 2,000 members, making it the largest regional chamber in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Through two months of concentrated effort on the part of Chamber staff, volunteer Chamber ambassadors, Board and committee members, 110 new area firms joined The Chamber. More than 20 Chamber members donated prizes to the effort, including airline tickets from American Eagle Airlines. WDAY AM provided complimentary radio advertising packages to businesses that joined The Chamber during the campaign.
The campaign, dubbed “Members Get It!,” included billboards in Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo featuring Chamber members.
“We’re grateful to everyone who helped in this accomplishment,” said Chamber President Craig Whitney. “It’s a testament to what a chamber stands for: the business community coming together to better the region. We look forward to engaging the membership in our new initiatives such as increased business advocacy, world-class events and educational programming.”
The Chamber has launched many new programs since its creation through the merger of the Fargo Moorhead and West Fargo Chambers, both of which were national-award winning organizations. It has implemented new discount programs and free marketing tools of special interest to small business. A new annual speaker series, Voices of Vision, brings in nationally known personalities. The Chamber has also stepped up the region’s presence at the North Dakota and Minnesota state capitols during the legislative sessions
to advocate for business issues.
“Our thriving regional business community keeps this metropolitan area healthy and growing,” said Whitney. “We continue to be a venue for community development, economic growth and business action.”
The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce is a bi-state, regional federation of 2,000 private, public and non-profit member firms representing more than 80,000 people. The largest local chamber in North Dakota and Minnesota, The Chamber advocates for a strong metropolitan community and supports the interests of its members, which are located in Cass and Clay Counties and beyond.
